Goran Filipec is the threefold winner of the Croatian National Piano Competition in 1995, 1997 and 1999, and the winner of many awards such as, the Lions Grand Prix in 1995 and 1997, the Istria Nobilissima Award in 1997, 1999, 2002, and the Rijeka Musicians Award in 1998.
At only 23 years of age, Mr. Filipec has already performed in many concert halls such as the Vatroslav Lisinski Hall in Zagreb, National Theatres in Rijeka and Split, Salle Cortot in Paris, Grande Salle du Conservatoire de Musique, Geneve, National Concert Hall in Dublin and in the large concert hall of the Muziekcentrum Vredenburg in Utrecht, and many European Festivals. As a soloist, he has performed with leading symphony orchestras in Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Slovenia, Bosnia, Herzegovina, Serbia and in Croatia with the Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra, Zagreb Philharmonic, Rijeka Philharmonic and the Croatian Chamber Orchestra, and others.
